Dr. Melissa DanielsDMD
I was born and raised near the beaches in Clearwater, FL. I’m a huge college football fan and on Saturdays in the Fall you can find me rooting for my team, the Gators! I enjoy running and have competed in many races including 5K’s, triathlons, a half marathon, and a Ragnar. I also enjoy hiking, traveling, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
I have always been interested in health and helping others. Growing up, I explored many different career options, but I did not find my passion until I volunteered at my first dental office where I saw a dentist alleviate a child’s extreme pain. That day, I realized the power dentistry has to change lives – both by helping with oral diseases and helping achieve beautiful smiles. Dentistry is the perfect combination of health, science, art, compassion, and life long learning. Over the years, I have been on multiple dental
mission trips to Nicaragua, Mexico, and Tonga. On those trips I had the rewarding opportunity to treat those who could not afford or access dental care. I could not imagine doing anything else than helping others achieve their most healthy, happy smile.
I attended the University of Florida where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. After
graduation, I received a grant from the USDA to continue onto graduate school and complete research. I earned my Master of Science degree, specializing in Nutritional Sciences, at the University of Florida. I then made the cross country trek to Arizona to attend Midwestern University where I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. There, I learned the latest and best techniques
to provide the utmost patient care. I was very active in leadership roles, including planning and participating in many community service events.
I have a genuine passion for dentistry and strive to ensure my patients have a positive and welcoming experience. I believe in educating patients and helping them understand the link between dentistry, oral health, and overall health. I understand each patient is unique and I am dedicated to providing the best treatment for each individual person. In the ever-changing world of dentistry, I take many hours of continuing education each year to keep current on technologies so that I’m able to provide the best care for my patients.
